Unicoque-Koki

In 1979, the cooperative was born in the South-West of France, with the objective of organizing itself collectively to valorize the harvests. The cooperative becomes UNICOQUE in 1990, develops over the years and gathers today more than 350 producers.

The main mission is to organize the supply and to market all the fruit, walnuts and hazelnuts, collected on the producers' farms. The cooperative also focuses on innovation, with state-of-the-art means implemented in particular in the management of water resources, mechanization of the harvest, and the work of drying and sorting the fruit.

Since 1979, UNICOQUE has introduced a new variety of nut (Lara) on the world market, and today federates almost all the French hazelnut production (98%) to reach 50% of the European hazelnut market share sold in shell and 1% of the global market share.
