This unique project for the first afforestation of agricultural land is located in the heart of Mayenne, under the aegis of Nicolas Grudé, with the aim of rehabilitating ecological corridors while implementing a forestry production objective: Douglas fir, sessile oaks, pubescent and cedars of Lebanon. It will make it possible to sequester 2299 tonnes of CO2eq over 30 years*.
Biodiversity: The species chosen have been studied to resist global warming while being adapted to current conditions. The existing strips of wood will be preserved and extended with borders planted with deciduous trees.
Socio-economic: A local forestry work company has been selected to carry out the work.
Soil preservation: The plot will be prepared for planting with tillage in strips, to limit the impact on the life of the soil and avoid releasing the carbon contained in the organic matter.
