Examples: reducing the frequency of soil cultivation, minimalist plot preparation, restoring organic matter and preserving soil microfauna.
Examples: diversity and locality of crop species, preservation of habitat for local flora and fauna, presence of beehives for pollination.
Examples: territorial dynamics, societal demand, diversification of the activity, local sales/processing, working conditions, sharing of good practices.

This project takes place in an area very affected by ash chalarose, a pathogenic fungus imported from Asia that is devastating on this tree, which is the 5th French species in terms of population in our forests. Affected ash trees see their foliage wither, their tops become thinner and their branches become necrotic, preventing the circulation of sap. No treatment is sufficiently effective today and the mortality of ash trees quickly becomes very high, both on young trees and on more mature specimens. The ash tree planting that took place 20 years ago on this plot is decimated and dead on its feet. The forest is now invaded by shrubs and brush because no trees are growing.
This reforestation project on 7.67ha consists of repopulating the area with mainly pedunculate oak, accompanied by sessile oak, hornbeam, Douglas fir, birch, black alder and a few wild fruit trees. This highly diversified population will be adapted to the challenges of tomorrow (global warming, resistance to common diseases, natural feeding of wildlife, biodiversity, etc.). The pedo-climatic context of the plots was studied to choose the species. 1607 tonnes of CO2eq will be sequestered over 30 years thanks to this project*.
In terms of co-benefits:
-Local forestry companies will work on this project. The area will be PEFC certified.
-The soil will be particularly protected because the dying trees will be completely crushed on site to restore organic matter and therefore carbon to the soil.
-The project will be positive in terms of biodiversity thanks to the great diversity of species planted, most of which are local. The borders of woodlots already present will be preserved.
* The final value of the estimate will only be established after verification by an independent auditor and an administrative verification decision.
