This project is located in the commune of Gouise in the Allier department. The afforestation will take place on a farmland adjoining an existing forest. This afforestation project will create 4.48 hectares of woodland, with a mix of black locust and downy oak. The plantation is scheduled for completion by the end of 2024 and will sequester 1,886 tonnes of CO2eq over 30 years*.
Biodiversity : 100% of the afforestation will be made up of broadleaved trees, and the existing rows of trees will be preserved.
Soil conservation : the soil will be prepared using tilled posts to limit the amount of tillage required on the plot.
Air quality: The planting takes place on the territory of an urban community, and contributes to improving the air quality of this more urban area.
