This project is located in the commune of Cocumont in Lot-et-Garonne, and the afforestation will take place on two meadows adjoining existing forests. This afforestation project will create 3.9 hectares of forest, with black locust. The plantation is scheduled for the winter of 2024-2025 and will sequester 1305 tonnes of CO2eq over 30 years*.

Socio-economic : Local forestry stakeholders will be asked to work on the project.
Air quality : The plantation will be located in a conurbation and will help to improve air quality in this more urban area.
Biodiversity : the plantation is 100% deciduous and will have no impact on existing woodland edges, while extending adjacent woodland.
