Located in the departments of Gironde, Dordogne and Lot et Garonne, this collective project to plant chestnut and walnut orchards will extend over an area of 34.80 Ha in seven farms. It will thus allow the additional storage of 2007 tonnes of CO2 equivalent, the promotion of good agricultural practices, the development of biodiversity, water resources and many other co-benefits. Among the farms concerned, that of Mr. Daniel Seyvet, located in Saugon in Gironde, plans to increase its area of chestnut trees by 3.70 Ha and thus allow additional storage of 216,20 tonnes of CO2 equivalent in 20 years*.
This project is in the process of being financed by Adecco, the recruitment leader in France, in line with the environmental policy of reducing and offsetting its emissions.
* The final value of the estimate will only be established after verification by an independent auditor and an administrative verification decision.
