Bernard Roudergue's farm is located in Saint-Cernin-de-l'Herm, in Gironde. Specialized in arboriculture, in particular the planting of chestnut orchards, this farm plans to expand by 2 hectares, and thus allow in the future an additional storage of 104.8 tonnes of carbon equivalent in 20 years*. These orchards are part of a collective project of planting chestnut and walnut orchards that will extend over an area of 34.80 ha in seven farms. It will thus allow the additional storage of more than 2000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent, the promotion of good agricultural practices, the development of biodiversity, water resources and many other co-benefits.
The levers implemented : The action levers are chosen for their ability to store carbon, avoid soil disturbances, their socio-economic benefits and preserve biodiversity and water resources. This project is in the process of being financed by Adecco, the recruitment leader in France, in line with the environmental policy of reducing and offsetting its emissions.
